We are excited to bring another year of the Ron H. Olson Annual Scholarship to HCA apartment communities across California! Who would have known we’d reach nearly 10,000 units of housing when we launched our very first scholarship program back in 2006. Our Scholarships

With the support of our valued partners, Housing Corporation of America (HCA) is proud to present two unique scholarship opportunities for residents of HCA apartment communities…

The Academic Scholarship

The Academic Scholarship is designed to award funding to high school seniors and adults aged 18-54 in the HCA portfolio to support the cost of instruction (tuition) for in-person or online classes at a variety of educational institutions: community colleges, private & public colleges, technical schools, trade schools, vocational schools, and universities. Awards are between $500 and $2,500.

The Dream Big Scholarship

The Dream Big Scholarship is designed to award funding to senior residents aged 55+ in the HCA portfolio to support the cost of instruction for in-person or online classes, lessons, a workshop, membership* or program in a hobby, an area of personal growth or professional development, and of course, in any academic pursuit. It’s not just for residents “going back to school”! Awards are between $100 and $1,000.
